About FBCS

First Baptist Christian School is located in Danville, Illinois.  Students of FBCS come from across Vermilion County and West Central Indiana.  A ministry of the Danville First Baptist Church, FBCS was founded in 1952 as the only kindergarten in Danville.  First and second grades were added between 1954-1955 followed by grades third-sixth.  In 1988 grades 7-12 were added to the school.

First Baptist Christian School is a member of the Illinois Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools.

The mission of First Baptist Christian School is to make the most of Jesus Christ through spiritual, academic, physical, and social development.  This school exists to promote the Christian philosophy of education, the Word of God, and Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of Truth.  This mission is to be accomplished through example, discipline, love, and prayer.
